1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone Painted Test Shots

11/20/2013

We’ve received the first test shots of the new 1966 Cyclone casting! What a beauty! This is a painted test shot, so there are small flaws like cloudy windows, but it’ll be perfect for production. The body line running the length of the side is being drastically improved to rise and fade at the proper places. Under the hood is a detailed engine with a separately-tooled air cleaner. Looking at the tires, we’ve also improved the diameter of the stripe. We’ve tooled the Caliente version of this car, too, with a different front grille, hood and bench-seat interior! The Caliente will be available further down the road. This also has a die-cast chassis. Look for this car in release 2’s Premium line!
